It began with a dream...
In the Spring of 2018, founders Iain Moggach and Marissa Caldwell were faced with an opportunity; no summer plans, a mutual love of Shakespeare, and an empty backyard.
They decided to call up a troupe of talented actor friends, and mounted a full indie production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Pre-pandemic, Burro'd Theatre kickstarted our local indie-theatre scene and brought accessible classical theatre back to Barrie. Now, we're wiser, (much) older, and ready to take these 'Asses' to the next level.

For the Summer of 2021, Burro'd pivoted their plans to rehearse and film an outdoor, distanced, and virtually-streamed collection of Shakespeare monologues and two-hander scenes featuring Burro'd alumni actors.
